“Watsu” means Water Shiatsu, and this form of bodywork combines elements of massage, joint mobilization, shiatsu, muscle stretching, dance, and is based on the principles of Zen Shiatsu.
Aquatic Bodyworks are practices that comes directly from Shiatsu and other healing practices on land such as Authentic Movement or Organic Body Rebalancing, and they share the same principles of movement medicine with the purpose of physical and emotional wellbeing.
Both Watsu, and Aquatic Bodywork, are gentle but effective forms of one to one body therapies performed 60mins, ideally in warm water at 24-25 degrees Celsius.
